In 2016, the Centers for infection Control and Prevention (CDC) circulated the US that is first nationally information in the health threats faced by lesbian, homosexual, and bisexual (LGB) senior school students. These data reveal that the around 1.3 million LGB youth within the United States encounter more physical and intimate physical violence and bullying than their heterosexual peers. LGB youth are also in danger for unhealthy medication suicide and use.
Findings from intimate identification, Sex of intimate connections, and Health-Related Behaviors Among pupils in Grades 9-12—united states of america and Selected Sites, 2015, published in CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, show that LGB pupils experience physical and violence that is sexual bullying at amounts 2 to 3 times greater than compared to their heterosexual peers.
